Enthuse. Engage. Inspire.
The Kineton STEM Team is a mixed team of RAF, Army and civilian STEM Ambassadors, delivering a wide range of community engagement programs. We operate mainly with in the West Midlands Area but also across the wider Defence community. In 2019, the Team delivered 112 events, 18% of those recorded across Defence and 71% recorded in the region. The team received a Chief Scientific Advisors commendation and were shortlisted for the RAF Inspire Award, in recognition of their outstanding performance.
The Team works with a wide range of organisations. These include local schools and youth groups such as the Cadets, Scouts and Army Welfare Service. The team also work with nationally recognised attractions such as the British Motor Museum, Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park, and Coventry Transport Museum. Further afield, we work with attractions such as The National Museum of Computing and Blenheim Palace.
In addition to delivering outreach, in September 2019 we launched the Kineton STEM Zone, a fully flexible modern classroom that allows for the delivery of STEM projects on site at DM Kineton.
Each member of the team is a registered STEM Ambassador and part of the STEM Learning Nationwide network of Ambassadors engaging with young people across the UK.
